BIS Volunteer Day on 25th April 2012 On 25th April, a group of over 15 staff from a local employer spent a few hours on Lotti as a "team-build". We had planned a range of outdoor activities but, the day started wet and by mid-morning it was raining heavily with a strong wind. Not put off, we all rapidly got organised into four groups in our "greenhouse", polytunnel and two sheds with the result that a great many seeds were planted into pots, our tools were wonderfully sorted and some hardy souls even put up bean poles in some beds! The combination of a really jolly atmosphere, plenty of cups of tea and coffee and some useful things to do turned a wet day into something surprisingly positive: “Most worthwhile and satisfying group activity I've done in 25 years as a civil servant. Really was. Thanks a lot for everything you guys (and Wolfgang) did to make the day a success.“ Jim C. “A huge thank you from us - we all really enjoyed it despite the rain and found it inspiring. You went well beyond the call of duty, too, much appreciated.” Lisa C.
